Clint Costa is a registered Certified Public Accountant and associate attorney in the transactional practice groups with a focus on estate planning, business transactions and tax counsel.  Previously, Clint served as a law clerk with the firm where he gained valuable experience assisting SNSF attorneys in a number of practice areas, including corporate law, federal and state taxation, employment law, estate and trust administration, real estate, general counsel and litigation.  He has worked on projects involving business restructuring, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, Article IX secured transactions, estate tax and estate planning, state and local taxation, income tax, trust administration, contested estates, probate, bankruptcy, business employment practices, intellectual property regarding trademarks and copyrights, employee rights, and Illinois and federal civil procedure.

Clint is involved in several community and professional organizations.  He is a volunteer with the Center for Economic Progress preparing tax returns for low income individuals.  During law school, Clint participated in two clinical law offices.  At the Startup Law Clinic, he drafted agreements for startup businesses and advised them on such issues as tax and intellectual property.  At the Tax Controversy Clinic, he assisted low income tax payers with their disputes with the IRS. He is a contributing writer on estate planning and tax related matters for the adoption blog GrownInMyHeart.com and to the Illinois CPA Society's HYPE newsletter.  He recently was quoted in an article about tax credits for families on MSN Money
